First edition, first printing published in 1983 by Vantage Press, US. Book: Nr fine, publisher's red boards with gilt stamped titles to the spine, light wear and pushing to the spine tips, baords are very bright as are the titles, internally very bright and fresh, no inscriptions, crease to the top right corner of the half-title page. A bright and fresh copy. Wrapper: Vg, some light chipping to the head and foot of the spine and to the hinge corners, the pre-dominatly white wrapper has toned a little (the inner flaps being crisp white, small area of repair to the upper panel, unclipped price of $8.95 to the front flap and a superb photograph of the little known author to the verso.

A very scarce genre rarity, and almost wholly unknown, especially of interest to collectors of Vampire/Werewolf fiction. As rare on the market as it is institutionally, with superb, guady jacket artwork. I am unlikely to see another.

*In the early 1800s two men build two towns on opposite sides of a single mountain, but the seperation doesn't stop them coming together over a bitter land dispute resulting in the death of one of the men at the hands of his enemy. An ancient curse is put upon the murderer by the slain man's mother, Hepzibah a witch with evil supernatural powers, her curses have two phases, firstly changing men into posessed Werewolves who embark upon a rabid killing spree, secondly shape-shifting into Vampires doomed to search the earth for human blood. Dennis throws everything Supernatural but the kitchen sink overflowing with bubbling, fomaing, frothing blood at this novel, it's a wild 'Ghost House' carnival ride  of a book with no brakes.
