First edition, first printing published by Mitre Press, London. Undated (1945). 63pp, priced at 1/- with a US stamped price of 25c to the upper cover. Small digest in unusally fine condition. Two tiny nicks to the cover edges otherwise very little wear at all, the corners are looking well, there is hardly a mark to the superb upper cover which has a wonderfully lurid and macabre illustration by H W Perl for the tale THE VAMPIRE OF WOLFPIT GRANGE depicting two horrifying figures stood over a coffin sacrificing a vampire bat, surrounded by gravestones and skeletons, the titles 'HORROR PARADE' fashioned out of bones which are dripping blood, what more could you want? go PERL! The rear cover is lightly toned but very clean indeed. Pages are tightly bound and very clean, sharp corners and no creases whatsoever, a fine example of a delicate pulp to have survived like this for alost 80 years, and scarce thus.
* Contains five weird tales by Hopkins,
The Vampire of Woolpit Grange
The Haunted Ring
The Scarlet Girdle
The Strange blooming of the Spotted Rampion (What a title!)
Fortune what she Wills
