A sobering academic treatise on the spectre of Premature Burial, covering medical conditions which may cause a patient to be perceived as dead, but more startlingly the book offers practical advice to enable victims to escape the horrors of the grave, if indeed like an Edgar Allan Poe protagonist they find themselves awaking under the earth trapped inside a coffin in total darkness.
Swan Sonnenschein also published Dr Franz Hartmann's book, 'Buried Alive : An examination into the Occult Causes of Apparent Death' which is referenced in this work. RARE
