Terror by Night, Selected and arranged by Christine Campbell Thomson

First edition, first printing (undated) published in 1934 by Selwyn and Blount, London.

Condition: Good 252pp, original publisher's red cloth with black titles to the upper board and spine. Rubbing to the corners and extremeties, light scuffing to spine tips and along the hinge lengths. Cloth still bright, spine has faded a little. Foxing to prelim's, pages are uniformly toned but very tightly bound and clean. No inscriptions, or marks. A descent copy, this series was very cheaply produced by the publisher and they are notoriously difficult to find in any condition. According to George Locke, this is the scarcest of the series.

This collection contains:

"Rogues in the House" by Robert E. Howard,

"The Author's Tale" by L. A. Lewis

"The Horror in the Museum" by Hazel Heald (anonymous collaboration with H. P. Lovecraft), and the first appearance of "The Metronome" by August Derleth.
