Book: Vg+ Gray cloth with blue stamped device of St Pauls to the upper board and blue borders. Blue titles to the spine with publisher's lamp device. Corners are sharp and the boards are very clean , the lightest pushing to the lower spine tip, foxed to the top edge of the block. Previous owner's name to the top edge of the title page, small shelf number stamp to fpd. Foxing along the top edge of the pages and to prelim's otherwise tightly bound and very clean.
Jacket: Vg, Light chipping to the spine tips and hinge corners, light toning/age soiling to the white of the spine and lower panel. Priced at 2'6 with advertisements for other 2'6 titles. The haunting pictorial jacket features the feline hybrid of the story, eyes glowing green emerging from the woods with Egyptian deity to spine. Rare in the jacket.

In this case a girl who was 'prenatally marked by a cat', born with claws and a nictivating eye membrane' and who Greefe has 'reared' since birth. Weirdness abounds as it transpires that the child is possessed by the spirit of Egyptian Goddess Bast, who is about to embark on a murderous rampage. Could it get any better?
