Condition: Vg, 580pp. Publisher's burgandy cloth with gilt stamped titles to the upper board and

spine. The cloth is very clean and the titles are bright and fresh, very light wear only to the corners and pushing to the spine tips. The spine has dulled a touch but presents well. The pages are tightly bound and clean, there is a charming inscription at the front of the book from an Officer of the Scot's Guards.


* Short stories/novellas. Contains the excellent story 'The Waif from the Waves' about the ghost of a woman who appears on a coastal cliffside forewarning of ship wrecks, the appearance of the ghost evokes Dickens's 'The Signalman'. Know Little claimed to have witnessed the apparition for real. Uncommon
